From Persia to Puerto Rico, Saga of an Iranian Boy is the story of a boy torn apart by economic troubles coupled with confusion about Islam and Judaism, he leaves Iran in search of a better future. His dreams of America are sidetracked as fate leads him to Israel, Columbia and Puerto Rico and his life is shaped by social and political turmoil in each land, which combine to foster a sense of displacement. The author, Yigal Yomtov, is of Iranian origin and has lived all over the world. Born in Esfahan, Iran, he lived there until the age of 14 until he moved to Tehran where he lived for a further three years before leaving for Israel. Yomtov then went on to live in New York, Columbia, Miami, Puerto Rico and now resides in Florida. He has B.A and M.B.A degrees in Business, Economics and Hebrew Literature and speaks fluently in Spanish, English, Farsi and Hebrew with knowledge of French and Arabic. Yomtov has opened and run a number of fast food operations across the US but now devotes his life to agriculture and owns a small farm in Puerto Rico, his small 'piece of heaven'.
